Beatrice Kyzar

MAGEE — Services for Beatrice Swarts Kyzar, 90, a teacher and part-time nurse, who died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at University Medical Center in Jackson, were Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2010, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.

Burial will be at 3:30 p.m., at Reeves Cemetery in McComb under the direction of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee.

Mrs. Kyzar was born June 5, 1919, the daughter of Seley Thompson DeLashmet and Amma Ingram DeLashmet. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and a member of the WMU. She loved missions. She also taught Sunday school and was the librarian for a number of years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Virgil Lee Kyzar; two sons, Jack Morris Swarts Jr., and Albert Roy Swarts; three brothers, Gene DeLashmet, Carl DeLashmet and John Ingram DeLashmet; and one sister, Edith Thurman.

Survivors include four children, Tommy Swarts and wife, Donna Daughdrill, of Magee, Hugh Swarts and wife, Linda P., of Summit, Louis Swarts and wife, Millie, of Hattiesburg and Lynne Manoley and husband, Blair, of Church Hill; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Melna Frazier of Memphis, Tenn., and Bernice Shockley of Sandy Springs, Md.
