GLOSTER — Services for Roy “Buck” Christian, 78, of Gloster, who died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at his residence, will be at 11:30 a.m. today at Brown Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be at 2 p.m. today at Port Hudson National Cemetery in Port Hudson, La., under the direction of Brown Funeral Home in Gloster.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mr. Christian was born June 20, 1931, in Baton Rouge, the son of Roy L. Christian and Mary LaSalvio Christian. He was employed as a pipefitter and machinist. Mr. Christian was also a U.S. Marine veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Gary Christian; and one grandson, Jeremy Christian.

Survivors include two sons, Danny Christian and wife, Terrie, of Liberty and Kevin Christian of Gloster; one daughter, Cyd McCool and husband, Kelley, of Austin, Texas; eight grandchildren, Gary Christian Jr., Leigh Anne Alexi, Crystal Babin, Brittany Anders, Nicole Demicelli, Sean McCool, Cody Christian and Annie Christian; and six great-grandchildren.
