Ann Porter Loper

NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Ann Porter, Loper, 90, of Natchez, who died Friday Feb. 12, 2010, in Natchez, will be 2 p.m. Monday, at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with Dr. Edgar Wright officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 1 p.m. until service time Monday at Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Loper was born July 15, 2010, in Wayne County, the daughter of John Paul and Becky Dearman Jones.

She was a member of Morgantown Baptist Church and was retired from S.H. Kress and Walmart.

Mrs. Loper is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Carol O. Porter and her second husband, W.F. Loper; one daughter Carol Verccchi; one son, David A. Porter; two great-grandchildren, Diana Verucchi and Roger Dunaway; four brothers, Ed Jones, Earnest Jones, Bobby Joe Jones and Paul Jones; and four sisters, Mavis Rush, Oliva Mayner, Maggie Wilks and Ruby Young.

Survivors include two sons, Carl O. Porter of Natchez and Dan W. Porter of Decaturville, Tenn.; two daughters, Mary Ann Hutcherson of Brookhaven, Linda Nell Whittington of Opelousas, La.; and two sisters, Betty Jean Trawick and Martha Jones both of Mobile, Ala.

Pallbearers will be Mike Porter, Greg Beck, Matthew Hutcherson, Dewayne Hutcherson, Len Whittington and Roger Dunaway.
