NATCHEZ — Services for Estelle Sims Anderson, 96, who died Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, will be at 2 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Anderson was born Dec. 17, 1913, in Linden, Texas, the daughter of Abner Holland and Frances Doss. She was a longtime employee of Sears.

Mrs. Anderson loved spending time with her family, cooking, yard work and fishing. She was a member of Vidalia First Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for a number of years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Kim Harlan.

Survivors include four children, Kenneth Sims of Malvern, Ark., Zelma Sims Grey of Baton Rouge, Tommie Sims Broome of Clinton and Carolyn Sims Whitehead of Natchez; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Todd Whitehead, Jeff Harlan, Leonard Roberts, Aaron Roberts, Chris Guerin and Daryl B. Pennington Jr.
