VIDALIA — Services for Lucinda “Brownie” Banks, 93, of Vidalia, who died Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Triumph Baptist Church with the Rev. Earnest Ford officiating.

Burial will follow at Vidalia Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Banks was born June 22, 1916, in Union Point, La., the daughter of Prince and Kate Brown.

She was preceded in death by two sons, John and William Banks; two brothers, Jeff Brown and Willie Zeek; and three sisters, Vonlee Johnson, Mattie Foster and Tina Arrington.

Survivors include one daughter, Maxine Jones; two brothers, Albert Brown and Prince Brown Jr. and wife, Ethel; two sisters, Corine Brown and Alberta Brown, all of Vidalia; two grandchildren she raised, Craig Jones of Houston, Texas and Tremaine Jones of Vidalia; 11 grandchildren, including Irmease Banks and Christopher Johnson, both of Natchez; 25 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
