Starkville — Mississippi State University recently announced president and dean’s scholars for the 2009 fall semester.

To earn recognition as president scholar students must achieve a 3.8 or better grade point average on a 4.0 scale while completing at least 12 semester hours of course work wth no incomplete grades or grades lower than a C.

Local students named to the president’s list are Bruce P. Brumfield, Lauren D. Carter, Marisa L. Chaffin, Carson M. Cruise, Mary M. Geoghegan, Matthew N. Guedon, Michelle L. Guedon, Morgan G. Halford, Christopehr M. Hinson, Kate C. Huseman, Caroline B. Lower, Jamey L. Matte, John G. Monroe, Jason D. Riley, Guy W. Wimberly, Matthew L. Young and Caleb E. Zumbro.

To earn listing on the dean’s list, students achieved a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.79 based on a 4.0 scale while completing at least 12 semester hours of course work with no incomplete grades or grades lower than a C
