Philip Leake

NATCHEZ — Services for Philip M. Leake, 82, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, in Natchez, will be at 11 a.m. today at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. John O’Hallaran officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mr. Leake was born Feb. 3, 1928, in Possum Corner, Wilkinson County, the son of Thad and Rose Leake. He was a graduate of St. Peter’s Academy in Dallas. His employment included construction work, carpentry and landscaping. He was retired.

Mr. Leake was Catholic.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, William; and four brothers, Hardie, Bonnie, Thad Jr. and Jack.

Survivors included five children, Michael Leake and wife, Hiromi, Philip Gregory Leake and wife, Barbara, Rita Durkee, Dale Nabaie and Rosemarie Leake; and nine grandchildren, Melissa Leake, Ayumi Leake, Kyoko Leake, Galen Leake, Benjamin Leake, Bottara Khan Nabaie, London Leake Holmes, Lauren Leake Simpson and Isabella Leake Campbell.
