FERRIDAY — Services for Sandy Lee Kemp, 53, of Monterey, who died Friday, Feb. 26, 2010 in Monterey, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Revs. Rod Reynolds and Curtis Lambrite officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Kemp was born June 24, 1956 in Ferriday, the son of Roy Wilfred Kemp and Carolyn Kemp. He was a resident of Monterey, and a member of the Baptist faith. He was an avid outdoorsman, loving hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife, Wife-Karen Rae Kemp; two sons, Sandon Kemp and wife Nanci of Vidalia and Roy Kemp and wife Courtney of Jonesville; two daughters, Jacquelyn Duncan and husband Scott of Salem and Micalet Kemp of Monterey; his mother; two brothers, Ronald Kemp and wife Bernice of Birmingham, Ala., and Timothy Kemp and wife Jane of Monterey; two sisters, Gayle Dixon and husband Grover of Houston and Kathryn Waldroff and husband Larry of Florida, and nine grandchildren.
