NATCHEZ — Services for Daisy B. Pinder, 87, of Natchez, who died Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Pickett officiating.
Burial will be Monday, March 8, 2010, at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home, with Eastern Star rites at 7 p.m., and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Pinder was born Feb. 20, 1923, in Adams County, the daughter of Sam Brady and Mattie Ware Brady. She was formerly employed by Natchez Pecan Factory. Mrs. Pinder was a member of Union Baptist Church and was an Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Abdner Pinder Sr.
Survivors include eight children, Samuel Brady of West Covina, Calif., Abdner Pinder and wife, Victorine of Dellwood, Minn., Freddie Pinder and wife, Laura, of South Holland, Ill., Richard Pinder and wife, Hester, and Ann Gooden and husband, Joseph, all of Chicago, Douglas Pinder of Natchez, Kenneth Pinder of St. Paul, Minn., and Joyce Pinder of Harbor City, Minn.; a loving and committed adopted granddaughter, Christina Pinder of New Hope, Minn.; three sisters, Josie Woods and Bertha Watkins, both of Natchez, and Sally Fitzgerald of Chicago; two brothers, LePoetry Brady and wife, Mary, of Chicago and Sam Brady of Natchez; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a special and devoted friend, Inell Lyles of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
