MEADVILLE — Services for James Lee Havard Jr., 50, of Centreville, who died Monday, March 22, 2010, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bernare Waites and the Rev. James Sanders officiating.
Burial will follow at Talbert Cemetery in Amite County under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Havard was born May 12, 1959, in Wilkinson County, the son of James Lee Havard Sr. and Peggy Byrd Havard. He was employed by Louisiana Work Force.
Mr. Havard was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his mother; grandparents; and one nephew, Derrick Havard.
Survivors include his father and wife, Helen, of Natchez; two brothers, Terry Havard and wife, Angie, of McCall Creek and Randy Havard of Centreville; two sisters, Shirley Valentine of Vidalia and Debra Hart and husband, Thomas, of Brookhaven; three nieces; and two nephews.
Pallbearers will be Clemon Wayne Durham, Darin David, David McKey, Joe McKey, Greg Havard and Kenny Boykins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Netterville, Bud Evans, Cory DeWitt and Ben Smylie.
