NATCHEZ — Services for Gail Mohon Fortenbery, 68, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at Promise Specialty Hospital in Vidalia, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. John Curt Wilson Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Fortenbery was born Dec. 28, 1941, in Tinsley, the daughter of Samuel Murray Mohon Sr. and Maudie Lee Moore Mohon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, B.G. “Cotten” Fortenbery; two sisters; one grandson; and one stepson.

Survivors include two daughters, René Ferguson and husband, James, of Cranfield and Sonnie Webb and husband, Hank, of Natchez; one son, Kerry Collins of Greencastle, Ind.; special daughter, Sandy Struve of Breckenridge, Colo.; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Merle Leshe of Duluth, Ga.; and one brother, Samuel Murray Mohon Jr. of Natchez.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
