Enjoy spring while giving back

After two of our good friends and classmates at Trinity, Dylan Pressgrove and Matthew Rymer, were injured in a horrible car accident on New Year’s Eve, a group of our friends got together to brainstorm about ideas of how we could help.
A walk-a-thon was one of our first ideas, but we decided to wait several months before having one. We knew that after the initial shock of the accident, fundraising efforts would slow down even though there would continue to be a need for support. Now that Matthew and Dylan are moving on to new stages of rehabilitation, there will be new needs and new expenses. We hope the Unity for Strength 5K walk-a-thon and one-mile fun run will help with these new expenses. We love Matthew and Dylan and want to continue to show them how much their classmates and their community cares!
This is a family friendly event for all ages.
The walk-a-thon will be this Saturday starting outside Bowie’s Tavern in downtown Natchez.
Registration is at 7:30 a.m. The walk-a-thon starts at 8:30, and the one-mile fun run for ages 12 and under starts at 9:30 a.m.
A $20 entry fee includes a T-shirt. T-shirts will be available on a first come first serve basis.
A $50 fee for a family comes with a maximum of four shirts. Additional shirts are $10.
Please bring your family and your friends out to enjoy a beautiful spring day while giving to a great cause! We hope to see you on Saturday.
