JONESVILLE — Services for Joyce M. Franklin, 90, of Jonesville, who died Thursday, March 25, 2010, in Jonesville, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Oak Grove Free Methodist Church with the Rev. Bryan Taylor and the Rev. Ron Wycopp officiating.
Burial will follow at Heard Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Jonesville.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. today until service time Sunday at the church.
Mrs. Franklin was born March 1, 1920, in Sercy, La., the daughter of Mary and George Cockerham. She was a lifelong resident of Jonesville; a homemaker; and a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Franklin; one daughter, Mildred Lippman; one grandson, Jeff Goodwin; one sister; and six brothers.
Survivors include four daughters, Margie Toney of Natchez, Shirley Goodwin and husband, Ben, of Sicily Island, Barbara Reynolds and husband, Charlie, of Alexandria, La., and Carolyn Butts and husband, Carmon, of Jonesville; two sisters, Alice Cox of Big Sandy, Texas and Neva Ford of Jonesville; two brothers, George Cockerham of Shreveport, La., and Ronald Cockerham of Jonesville; one son-in-law, Donald Lippman of Jonesville; 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Matt Merritt, Brad Butts, Andy Davis, Russell Lippman, Tony Lippman and Glenn Lippman.

ACME, La. — Services for Shelby Book, 60, of Acme, La., who died Thursday, March 25, 2010, at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, La., will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Acme Free Methodist Church with the Rev. Willie Beaubouef and the Rev. Dennis Baker officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. Sunday until service time Monday at the church.
