NATCHEZ — Services for Myra Rose Bruce, 80, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at University Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Zion Hill No. 1 Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.

Ms. Bruce was born Oct. 29, 1929, in Natchez, the daughter of James C. White Sr. and Myra Williams White. She was a member of the Zion Hill missionary ministry.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Julius Edwards; and two sisters, Malinda Knight and Dorothy Coroner.

Survivors include daughter, Mary E. Smith and husband, Calvin, of Dallas; son, Harry J. White Sr. and wife, Cora, of Augusta, Ga.; brother, James C. White Jr. of Natchez; four grandsons, Harry J. White Jr. of Augusta, Ga., Christopher I. White of Atlanta, Eric M. Young of Dallas and Brandon J. Young of Savannah, Ga.; great-grandson, Elijah A. Young of Dallas; special cousin, Mildred L. Jefferson of Jonesville; two special friends, Carrie Davis and Marie Granger, both of Natchez; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
