The Missionary Ministry at Zion Hill No. 1 Baptist Church will host its annual Good Friday program.
The first Good Friday program was in 1992. The Missionary Ministry is bound together by a common goal to assist the church in meeting the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of the body of Christ.
This year’s program has been planned to be the best one ever.
The Missionary Ministry, along with their pastor, the Rev. J.W. Pickett, have been planning this event for months.
For 18 years, the Missionary Ministry has had The Last Seven Words from the Cross.
Each year great ministers and pastors have participated from the Miss-Lou.
This year’s guests will be the Rev. Clifton Marvel, the Rev. Will “Sonny” Johnson, Bishop Melvin Jackson, the Rev. James Lee, the Rev. James Washington and two of their own, the Rev. Layforn Profice and the Rev. J.W. Pickett.
The Good Friday program will be 11 a.m. Friday at Zion Hill No. 1 Baptist Church on Lower Woodville Road in Natchez.
Along with the Seven Last Words, there will be music and praises with minister of music the Rev. Tony Gordon.
The Rev. Picket, first lady Mrs. Minerva Pickett, and the Zion Hill No. 1 family invite the general public to their annual Good Friday program.
Lunch will be served.
Lynda Joe Williams is a member of Zion Hill No. 1 Baptist Church.
