TEN YEARS AGO — Rod Donald allows no earned runs on two hits, strikes out seven and breaks Gregg Johnson’s career home-run record of 25 with a three-run shot in the Vikings’ 9-2 win over the Block Bears.
FIVE YEARS AGO — Glenda Butts pitches a one-hitter and triples in Block’s 15-0 win over Delhi in game one of a district doubleheader and then Butts tosses a no-hitter in the Lady Bears’ 21-0 win in game two.
