NATCHEZ – Services for Clinton Bell, 86, of Natchez, who died Monday, April 5, 2010, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, will be at noon Saturday at Second Union Baptist Church.
Burial will be Monday, April 12, 2010, at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Bell was born Dec. 8, 1923, in Shelby County, Tennessee, the son of Marie Bell Reason. He was a World War II veteran and was a faithful member of Second Union Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his mother and one stepson, Reginald Marvel.
Survivors include a loving and devoted wife, Lilia Bell; four daughters, Diana Walker and husband, James, Carolyn White and husband, James, all of Natchez, Shirley Steele of Gretna, La., and Stacy Briggs and husband, Vincent, of Roxie; two sons, Wesley Bell and LaJohn Bell, both of Natchez; 11 stepchildren, the Rev. Clifton Marvel and wife, Alma, Alex Marvel and wife, Patricia, Andrea Marvel, Carolyn Marvel, Karl Marvel, Blanche Marvel and Glenda Harrison, all of Natchez, Flora Morales of Las Vegas, Joyce Johnson of Detroit, Patricia Bernard and husband, Curtis, of Los Angeles, and Albert Marvel Jr. and wife, Lisa, of Victorville, Calif.; one brother, Willie Bell of Natchez; one godchild, Malinda Davis of Natchez; four sisters-in-law; and a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
