SICILY ISLAND, La. — Services for Mary Jane Wilson, 79, of Sicily Island, who died Monday, April 12, 2010, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Sicily Island with the Rev. James Gass and the Rev. Cecil Herrington officiating.

Burial will follow at New Pine Hill Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the church.

Mrs. Wilson was born Nov. 2, 1930, in Earle, Ark., the daughter of James Frank and Bessie Bailey Needham. She was a homemaker and a very loving mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, H.B. Wilson; her parents; one daughter, Linda Kay Ready; and three brothers, Clarence Lawhorn, James Lewis Needham and Joseph Needham.

Survivors include six daughters, Charlotte Batey of Wisner, La., Marsha Mitchell and husband, Raymond, and Susan Prunty and husband, Al, all of Vidalia, Jane Rials of Houma, La., Mary Munox and husband, Arturo, of Sicily Island, and Peggy Johns of Gilbert, La.; six sons, Jimmy Wilson and wife, Edna, of Vidalia, Billy Wilson and wife, Tammy, of Olla, La., Bobby Wilson and wife, Wanda, of West Monroe, La., Stanley Wilson and wife, Wendy, and David Wilson and wife, Aquilla, all of Sicily Island and Randy Wilson and wife, Marsha, of Missouri; one sister, Illa Mae Brewer of Oregon; special sister-in-law, Edith Bland; special brother-in-law, Frank Wilson, both of Arkansas; 40 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Garth Wilson, Ashley Prunty, Kye Wilson, Dustin Wilson, Dustin Wilson, Andy Prunty and Brandon Johns.
