FAYETTE — Services for Amanda Smith, 41, of Fayette, who died Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Shiloh First Baptist Church in Fayette with the Rev. Larry D. Jackson officiating.
Burial will follow at Hollywood Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home in Fayette.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Ms. Smith was born July 9, 1968, in Fayette, the daughter of Horace Bradley and Elouise Smith. She confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized and united with the Shiloh First Baptist Church where she served faithfully in the choir. She was a 1986 graduate of Jefferson County High School and attended Delta Career College Nursing School in Natchez.
Amanda lived a life of joy and happiness and will be forever remembered.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include five sisters, Jural Anderson, Willie Mae “Mae Mae” Smith, Leatha “Lesia” Smith, special sister and caregiver, all of Fayette, Jacqueline “Jackie” Smith of Vicksburg and May Ella Smith of Jackson; two brothers, Horace “Bee” Smith and wife, Annie, and Terry “Cool Daddy” Smith, all of Fayette; four aunts, Betty Mae Hayes, Sadie Hayes and Easter Earls, all of Fayette, and Lugenia Scott and husband, Sam, of Vicksburg; two uncles, Albert Hayes and wife, Mamie, of New Orleans and Sid Smith and wife, Loretta, of Fayette; and two goddaughters, Latasha Collins and Charetta Felton, both of Fayette.
