NATCHEZ — Services for Gladys Mae Fleming Miller, 72, of Baton Rouge, who died Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at Lakewood Quarters Nursing Home in Baton Rouge, will be at noon Friday at Windy Hill No. 1 Baptist Church in Cranfield.
Burial will follow at Fleming Family Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Ms. Miller was born July 25, 1937, in Natchez, the daughter of Charlie and Katie Blackmon Fleming. She was a member of True Light Missionary Baptist Church and served as a choir member; member of the Usher Board; a member of the Willing Worker Committee; and was retired from General Motors.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glen Miller; three brothers, Lawrence Fleming, Charles Fleming and Richard Fleming; two sisters, Mary Fleming and Claudia Fleming; and two brothers-in-law, Joe Miller and Dwayne Miller.
Survivors include three sisters, Nellie R. Fleming of Baton Rouge, Clara Lewis and Juanita Fleming, both of Natchez; two brothers, Albert “Jake” Fleming and James Fleming, both of Natchez; one great-aunts, Dinah Evans of Natchez; three sisters-in-law, Betty Westbrook, Betsy Brown and Rita Miller, both of Flint, Mich.; three brothers-in-law, Vern Miller, Leon Miller and Lamar Miller, all of Flint; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
