JONESVILLE — Services for Clarice Wiley Tarpley, 79, of Jonesville, who died Wednesday, April 28, 2010, in Jonesville, will be at 2 p.m. today at First Pentecostal Church of Jonesville with Bro. Jack Knapp, Bro. Bruce Lofton and Bro. C.B. Wiley officiating.

Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Jonesville.

Mrs. Tarpley was born Oct. 25, 1930, in Jonesville, the daughter of Clarence and Lula Wiley. She was a homemaker and a member of First Pentecostal Church of Jonesville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. “Monk” Tarpley; one son, Randy Tarpley; her parents; and two brothers, David Wiley and Thomas Wiley.

Survivors include two daughters, Debra Tarpley Book and husband, Emmitt, and Jennifer Harp, all of Jonesville; two sons, William Dennis “Little Monk” Tarpley and wife, Gwen, of Jonesville and Elvin Jeffery Tarpley and wife, Robbie, of Natchitoches, La.; 18 grandchildren, Armando Aguilar, Andy Lee Aguilar, Mia Staneart, Antonio Aguilar, Stacie La Rissa Tarpley, Melinda Brittany, Hanna Victoria Tarpley, William Grant Tarpley, Jodie Elizabeth Byrnes, Michael and Torrie Crawford, Hailee Jean Hodges, Morgan Tarpley, Tyler Tarpley, Shelly Lorimer, Jeffery and Tracy Lorimer and Olivia Parker; 10 great-grandchildren, Alecia Aguilar, Jack Foster, Gabriel Staneart, Alena Clarice Staneart, Jasmin Byrnes, Ransom Olds, Bryson Crawford, Bryant and Adam Lorimer and Keira Cooley; four brothers, Jim Wiley, the Rev. C.B. Wiley, Paul Wiley and Max Wiley; five sisters, Bernice Sanders, Alice Smith, Audrey Sanders, Ester Fincher and Norma Rivers; and special friend and caregiver, Shirley Barnes.

Pallbearers will be Tony Aguilar, Grant Tarpley, Tyler Tarpley, Jamie Lofton, Josh Olds and Daniel Staneart.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gabriel Staneart, Jack Foster, Ransom Olds and Bryson Crawford.
