NATCHEZ — Services for Hannah M. Baker, 71, of Natchez, who died Friday, April 30, 2010, at Grace Home of Alexandria in Alexandria, La., will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Nancy Hendrix officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today and from 1 p.m. until service time on Tuesday, both at the funeral home.

Mrs. Baker was born Jan. 28, 1939, in Magnolia, the daughter of Phillip Olon Burnson and Dorothy Brumfield Burnson.

She was a registered nurse for 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, S. Joaquin Baker Sr.; one half-sister, Judy Kounovsky; one half-brother, Harold Kounovsky; and one daughter, Margaret Merrylon Baker.

Survivors include one daughter, Betina B. Rice and husband Ray of Alexandria; one son, S. Joaquin “Keene” Baker Jr., and wife Ruthie of Church Hill; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one brother, Phillip Burnson Jr., of Ocean Springs.

Pallbearers will be Chase Rice, Quin Baker, Steve Hill, Alan McBride, Daniel Guedon and Alan Wadsworth.
