MEADVILLE — Services for Charles Ernest Edwards, 78, of Meadville, who died Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Meadville, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the church.

Mr. Edwards was born Aug. 4, 1931, in Amite County, the son of W.B. Edwards and Nettie Nunnery Edwards. He was retired from International Paper Company in Natchez. Mr. Edwards was a member of Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Causey Edwards; two sons, Jimmy Edwards and wife, Wanda, of Meadville and Larry Edwards and wife, Lynne, of Sandville, Ga.; one sister, Mary Holbrook and husband, Harold, of Brandon; a special niece, Wanda Parker and husband, Chuck, of Natchez; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.
