NATCHEZ — Services for Emma Lou Tate Bourland, 86, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, May 5, 2010, in Natchez, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. David O’Connor officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home, with a reception to follow at the home of Brent Bourland.

Mrs. Bourland was born Sept. 1, 1923, in Ville Platte, La., the daughter of Pierre and Elia Foret Tate.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dow Bourland; and 10 sisters and brothers.

Survivors include two sons, Brent Bourland of Natchez and Michael Dow Bourland, M.D., and wife, Allison, of Sullivan’s Island, S.C.; two grandchildren, Alex Bourland and Eva Bourland; and a number of nieces and nephews, including Debbie Green of Natchez, Camey Miller Maloney of Destin, Fla., and Christopher Roberie of Baton Rouge.

Pallbearers will be Fred Callon, Tony Byrne, Jamie Arnold, John Holyoak, Howard Jones and Braxton Hobdy.
