NEW ORLEANS — Services for Pearline Washington, 88, of Kenner, La., who died Monday, May 3, 2010, at St. Joseph Rehabilitation Center will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Greater Pleasant Green Baptist Church in New Orleans with the Rev. Dr. Richard Bellizan officiating.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until service time Monday at the church.
There will be another service at noon Tuesday at St. Mark Baptist Church of Clayton.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.
Burial will be at Garden of Rest Cemetery in Clayton under the direction of Littlejohn Funeral Home of New Orleans.
Mrs. Washington was born Sept. 19, 1921, in Stanton, the daughter of Steve and Virginia Washington.
She was a member of Greater Pleasant Green Baptist Church.
Mrs. Washington was preceded in death by parents; her husband, Elvin Washington Sr.; son, Elvin Washington Jr.; sisters, Annabelle, Sephronia W. Spears, Georgia W. Allen, Queen E. Battle, Tina Moton, Pernella Miller and Aldonia Johnson; brothers, James E. and Alex Washington.
Survivors include her children, Delories Smith-Tobias, Pearline W. Foley, Herbert Sr., Kenneth Sr. and Robert Washington and sister, Clara B. Carter of Clayton.
