VIDALIA — Instead of picking up their child’s final report cards at school, Concordia Parish parents will receive the report cards in the mail this year, Concordia Parish Schools Academic Director Paul Nelson said.
“A lot of school systems around the state have been mailing cards for years. It is kind of a cost saving measure, and a little more efficient,” he said.
The cards will be mailed Friday, and most parents should receive them by Saturday or Monday, Nelson said.
“If they don’t have the report cards by Tuesday afternoon, they need to contact the school,” he said.
Parents whose students might not be promoted to the next grade will be contacted by the schools for a meeting, Nelson said.
