Miss. executions are wrong response

Once again, in good conscience I have to object to the fact that Mississippi Wednesday and today is killing in our name to teach that killing is wrong.

Capital punishment is against the laws of God. The two men to be executed did horrible, horrible things.

I “feel” like killing them myself only doing it slowly so that they suffer horribly also.

Alas, being a Christian, I can and I must object.

I think it was Jesus, the God/Man of the New Testament who replaced the “eye for eye law.”

It is easy to put “Honk if you love Jesus” bumper sticker on your car or hammer crosses along the highway to show the world you are a Christian.

What’s hard is showing by actions that all life is scared, even that of a convicted murderer and rapist of children.

It would be nice if Jesus had not said, “Love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you.”

Mississippi is killing in our name and makes a big deal of calling itself a Christian state?

I guess exceptions to the command “Thou shall not kill” are convenient interpretations and more easy to accept. Maybe that thinking gets more votes in our state. Sorta like Texas!

No wonder the state executed Jesus. He was a trouble maker!
