FERRIDAY — Services for Ellen Dee Thomas, 93, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, May 15, 2010, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Concordia Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Danny T. Lewis and the Rev. Eddie Schiele officiating.

Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Thomas was born Dec. 20, 1916, in Fort Necessity, La., the daughter of Hardy and Tishie Hawkins Johnson.

Survivors include two sons, Donnie E. Thomas of Ferriday and Gregory F. Thomas of Chicago; three daughters, Laura T. Hayes of Dumas, Ark., Ellen J. Steven of Madison, Wisc., and Debra Cowley and husband, Maurice, of Jacksonville, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
