NATCHEZ — Services for Rufus Elmore, 54, of Natchez, who died Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at noon Saturday at Fourth Street Church of Christ with Brother Dwight Greene officiating.

Burial will follow at Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of R.D. Mackel and Sons.

Visitation will be from noon to 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Elmore was born April 14, 1956, in Adams County, the son of Sarah Lee Elmore and Willie Green.

He attended the Adams County Public School System, was a member of Fourth Street Church of Christ and worked for the oil field industry and as a carpenter.

Mr. Elmore was preceded in death by his parents; one step daughter, Chiquita Reynolds; two sisters, Hazel Harvard and Ruby Cage; and two brothers, Jeff Green and Willie Green Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Reynolds Elmore of Natchez; two step sons, Antwony Sylvester of Natchez and Willie Reynolds of Houston, Texas; one step daughter, Shalottie Reynolds of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; five brothers, Ronnie and Sharon Elmore and Henry and Tonya Green, all of Hope, Ark., Larry Green, Kenny Green and Earl Green, all of Ferriday; seven sisters, Dorothy Mayhall of Bloomington, Minn., Linda Elmore and Daisy Elmore, both of Natchez, Fayann Green and Shelia Green, both of Fayette and Cynthia Green of Shreveport, La.; grandchildren, Willie and Elizabeth Reynolds and Alex and Shamaka Reynolds, all of North Carolina, Dustin and Justin Sylvester and Crystal Reynolds, all of Natchez, Chakaria Reynolds, Michael Reynolds and Arthurius Reynolds, all of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., Porcha Porter, Klorissa Reynolds, Willie Reynolds and Makila Reynolds, all of Houston; great grandchildren, Kirsten Reynolds of Natchez and Justice Sylvester of Jackson; and a number of other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
