NATCHEZ — Services for Eddie Mosby, 79, of Natchez, who died Monday, May 24, 2010, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Andrew African Methodist Episcopal Church in Washington with the Rev. Anthony Colenberg officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
Mr. Mosby was born May 25, 1931, in Natchez, the son of Lucein Mosby and Essalina Mosby. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the American Legion.
Mr. Mosby was a member of St. Andrew African Methodist Episcopal Church, the Sunday school and was a Bible class teacher.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Lucein Mosby Jr., Earl Mosby, Charles Mosby and Richard Jackson.
Survivors include one daughter, Delilah Green of Natchez; one son, Charles Evans of Greenwood; one sister, Ruby Lee Woods of Natchez; three grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and the St. Andrew church family.
Pallbearers will be Columbus Woods, Christopher Woods, Charles Crossgo, Ponce Crossgo, the Rev. Chester Cain Jr., and Jerome Smith.
