FERRIDAY — Services for Rosie Leonard Prater, 65, of Vidalia, who died Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at Heritage Manor Health & Rehab in Ferriday, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mercy Seat Baptist Church with the Rev. Freddie Schiele officiating.

Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Prater was born Sept. 19, 1944, in Frogmore, La., the daughter of Breck Green and Alice Leonard Fields.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley Prater; her parents; one sister, Emma Leonard; and one brother, Eddie Leonard.

Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Leonard of Vidalia and LaTonya Prater of Baton Rouge; one son, Wiley Prater Jr. of Duluth, Ga.; four brothers, Michael Leonard of Baton Rouge, David Lee Leonard and Milton Jefferson, both of Ferriday, and James Leonard and wife, Jerdine, of Lucia, Fla.; five sisters, Daisy Leonard, Dorothy Leonard and Linda Jefferson, all of Ferriday, Hurley J. Humphrey of Cartersville, Ga., and Brenda Carter of Douglasville, Ga.; and two grandchildren.
