JACKSON — Montgomery Beauregard “Monty Beau” Wallis, 3, of Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., died surrounded by family Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

Memorial services will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Westhaven Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.

Arrangements are under the direction of Westhaven Memorial Funeral Home in Jackson.

Montgomery was born March 10, 2007, the son of Brandon Lee Wallis and Teresa Roxanne Wallis.

Both charismatic and handsome, Monty Beau attracted a large number with his curly locks, bright brown eyes and contagious laughter and smile. His curiosity and tenacity for life led him to develop a fondness for all things, especially animals, art, books, nature, trains and peanut butter sandwiches. Monty was a brilliant, shining light and he demanded interaction, involvement and elation wherever he visited. He is missed by all the lives he touched throughout South Carolina, Mississippi and New Hampshire.

Survivors include his mother of Jackson; his father of Shaw Air Force Base; grandmothers, Lisa Gail Johnson of Jackson and Sharon Wallis of Ocean Springs; grandfather, George Wallis Jr. of Ocean Springs; two uncles, Christopher Johnson of Jackson and Anthony Wallis of Gulfport; great-grandmother, Norma Cottrell of Ocean Springs; and great-grandfather, Joel Cottrell of Ocean Springs.
