NATCHEZ — Services for Mildred Watkins Johnson, 89, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, June 13, 2010, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fourth Street Church of Christ with Bro. Wendell Greene Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Beulah Christian Church Cemetery in Frogmore, La., under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Johnson was born March 31, 1921, in Monterey, the daughter of Henry Clay Watkins and Daisy Ross Watkins. She was employed as a beautician and was a member of Fourth Street Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse L. Johnson.

Survivors include one son, Larry Johnson of Ferriday; two brothers, K.G. Watkins and wife, Fannie, of Ferriday and Henry Watkins of Houston, Texas; one sister, Drucilla Johnson of California; and one granddaughter, Jessica Johnson of Ferriday.
