LELAND, La. — Services for Elzie Lee Mason, 80, of Harrisonburg, La., who died Sunday, June 20, 2010, at his residence, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at New Hope Pentecostal Church with Bro. David Bailey officiating.

Burial will follow at Old Catahoula Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Jonesville.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the church.

Mr. Mason was born July 11, 1929, in Sicily Island, the son of Ernest and Rosie Mason. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of New Hope Pentecostal Church in Leland.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Mason; his parents; two brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include three sons, Lee Mason Jr. and wife, Linda, of Olla, La., Hank Mason and Chris Mason, both of Harrisonburg; three grandchildren, Shelly Hewes, Clifton Jarvis and Mattie Gould; six great-grandchildren, Nicole Franklin, Nathaniel Jarvis, Frank Hewes III, Bethany Jarvis, Chris Hewes and Sara Jones.

Pallbearers will be Justin Phillips, Mike Lip, Sydney Eubanks, Billy Glen Floyd and Ronnie Eubanks.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Aarons and James Glen Kelly.
