NATCHEZ — Services for Joan Murray, 67, of Ooltewah, Tenn., formerly of Natchez, who died Friday, June 18, 2010, at her sister’s house in Ooltewah, were Monday, June 21, 2010, at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Foster officiating.
Burial followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mrs. Murray was born Dec. 1, 1942, in Wilkinson County, the daughter of Bilbo and Juanita McCurley Murray. She worked most of her life as a nurse in the Natchez area.
Mrs. Murray was a loving and giving person, spending most of her life caring for others and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Billy Murray, Bobby Murray and Clayton Murray; one niece, Faye Caylor Womack; and one nephew, Bobby “Butch” Murray.
Survivors include one sister, Vivian Caylor of Ooltewah; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas E. and Betty Murray of Natchez; one aunt, Malva S. McCalip of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Pallbearers were Ronald Caylor, Shane Caylor, Shelton Dunn Jr., and Kenny McCravin.
