FERRIDAY — Services for Damarcus Lee Green, 10, of Ferriday, who died Thursday, June 24, 2010, at Riverland Medical Center following a long illness, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Greater St. Reed Baptist Church with the Rev. Justin Conner officiating.

Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Damarcus was born June 15, 2000, in Ferriday, the son of Herman Green and Diane Gilmore. He attended Ferriday Upper Elementary School where he was a fourth-grade student.

Survivors include his parents; three brothers, Christopher and Herman and Herman Green, all of Ferriday, and Calvin Green; two sisters, LaToya Green of Raceland, La., and Denitra Gilmore of Ferriday; maternal grandmother, Dora Davis of New Orleans; maternal great-grandmother, Josie Gilmore of Ferriday; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
