NATCHEZ — One person was taken to the hospital after a crash involving two cars on John R. Junkin Drive Wednesday.

Natchez Police dispatchers said one vehicle, which had a Mississippi license plate, was traveling eastbound on John R. Junkin Drive at approximately 8:30 p.m.

Witnesses said the vehicle ran the red light turning into Natchez Mall, and struck the driver’s side of the second vehicle, which had a Louisiana license plate.

The driver of the Louisiana car was reportedly knocked to the passenger side as a result of the crash, and was taken to the hospital. The names of neither driver were not released.
