Leon R. Duncan Sr.
March 5, 1928 – June 29, 2010
NATCHEZ — Services for Leon R. Duncan Sr., 82, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, June 29, 2010, will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Beulah Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl A. Smith officiating.
Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Curtis Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Sunday at the church.
Mr. Duncan was born March 5, 1928, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Steve and Marguerite Duncan. He attended Brumfield High School and Natchez Junior College. He was employed by Diamond International and Natchez Transit. He was retired.
Mr. Duncan was a member of Beulah Baptist Church where he served as chairman of the Deacon Board and as superintendent of the Sunday school.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Duncan; his parents; two brothers, Steve and Maurice Duncan; one sister, Rose Houston; and one grandson, Timothy Letcher.
Survivors include five children, Gwendolyn Brandt, Brenda J. Letcher, Margaret Matthew, Leon R. Duncan Jr., and Maurice Duncan; a number of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
