NATCHEZ — Services for Marvel Ruth Huff, 63, of Natchez, who died Monday, July 5, 2010, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Windy Hill Baptist No. 2 Church.
Burial will follow in Byrd Cemetery in Kirby.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.
Mrs. Huff was born Jan. 22, 1947, in Franklin County, the daughter of Sylvester Sr. and Ola Cameron Byrd.
She was a faithful member of Windy Hill No. 2 Baptist Church and was employed for 20 years with General Motors.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Henry and Mandy Byrd, Alvin Cameron and Lucy Moore; one son, John Everett; stepmother, Alberta Byrd; three brothers, Sylvester Jr., Charles and LeRoy Byrd; and one aunt, Lisann Byrd.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Louis C. Huff; one daughter, Mashavu McKinstry and husband Rayford; three grandchildren, Seth, Olivia and Andrew, all of Detroit; two stepsons, John Huff of Europe and Louis Huff Jr. and wife Edna of Natchez; six sisters, Eunice Burks, Elois Davis, both of Flint, Mich., Betty Squalls, Bobbie Byrd, Ann Byrd, all of Natchez, and Dorothy Evans of Lansing, Mich.; one brother, George Byrd of Natchez; one step grandson, Calvin Amouru Huff; four sisters-in-law, Mabel Dorsey, Deloris Colenburg, Alice Colenburg and Judy Newborn and husband Tony Sr.; three brothers-in-law, Calvin Colenburg, John Huff and wife Lurine and Bobby Joe Lowe and wife Audrey; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
