CENTREVILLE — Graveside services for Charlotte Martiniere Redhead, 99, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at Ollie Steele Burden Manor in Baton Rouge, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Oaklawn Cemetery with the Rev. Barry Lagg officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Newman Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at First Presbyterian Church in Natchez.

She was a native of Shubuta. She received her bachelor of science degree from LSU and was a retired teacher. She was an inveterate crafter. She did all types of needlework. She was a devoted church member and taught Sunday School more than 75 years.

Mrs. Redhead was preceded in death by her husband, Duncan Norwood Redhead; parents, John and Archye Dees Martinere; two brothers, John Martiniere Jr. Dees Martiniere; and a sister-in-law, Faye Martiniere.

Survivors include two sons, Joseph Norwood Redhead and wife, Carolyn Tumminello Redhead, of Natchez and John Dees Redhead and wife, Elizabeth Herold Redhead of New Orleans; three grandchildren, Joseph Redhead and wife, Tamara Santiago, of Baton Rouge, Thomas Redhead of Duncan, Okla., and John Redhead and wife, Shelly Walters Redhead, of Centreville; eight great-grandchildren, Megan, Kaleigh and Lindsay Redhead of Baton Rouge, Mabel, Mary Frances and Thomas Redhead of Duncan, Tal and Anna Charlotte of Centreville.
