Martha Beauvais

NATCHEZ — Services for Martha Marie Beauvais, 84, of Natchez, who died Thursday, July 22, 2010, at her residence, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Assumption Catholic Church with the Rev. Leopold Keffler officiating.

Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Beauvais was born Feb. 20, 1926, in Natchez, the daughter of Premo Joseph and Catherine Columbia Verucchi Stallone.

She was a life-long member of Assumption Catholic Church where she was a past active member of the Altar Society. She was also a past member of the Pilgrimage Garden Club and Women’s Home Extension Club.

Mrs. Beauvais was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, C.J. Beauvais.

Survivors include four daughters, JoAnne Cunningham and husband, Jack, of Terry, Cheryl Spence and husband, Richard, of Brookhaven, Kathy McKlemurry and husband, Joe, of Fort Worth, Texas and Gayle McGilberry and husband, Matt, of Natchez; four grandchildren, Adam Spence and wife, Katie, of Flowood, Katie Spence Pugh and husband, Eugene, of Halls, Tenn., Jacob Cowart and Jordan Cowart, of Natchez; four great-grandchildren, Ava Grace Spence and Sophie Jules Spence of Flowood, Caroline Beauvais Pugh and Eugene Farnsworth “Worth” Pugh IV of Halls; one brother, Premo Stallone Jr. and wife, Marion, of Natchez.

Pallbearers will be Richard Spence, Jack Cunningham, Joe McKlemurry, Matt McGilberry, Adam Spence and Jacob Cowart.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to a charity of choice.
