FERRIDAY — Services for Andrew W. Withers, 75, of Vidalia, who died Friday, July 23, 2010, in Campti, La., will be 2 p.m. today at Comer Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with the Rev. Ron Ledford and Bro. R.V. Mize officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Natchez under the direction of Comer Funeral Home.

Mr. Withers was born March 9, 1935, in Robeline, La., the son on Henry and Rosie N. Withers. He was a resident of Vidalia for 47 years and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was retired from the oil field industry and also had been a funeral assistant with Comer Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, H.O. Withers, Henry Withers Jr. and Otis Withers.

Survivors include his wife, Bettie J. Withers of Vidalia; four daughters, Gwen Huff and husband, Charlie, of Vidalia, Kathy Oliveaux and fiancée, Glenn Middleton, of Flowood, Angie Gunter and husband, Barry, of Natchez and Tanya Jenkins and husband, Mickey, of Vidalia; one granddaughter, Shannon White; three sisters, Dorothy Mahaffey of Pasadena, Texas, Mattie Kolojacko of Goodrich, Texas, and Doris Thomas of Hughes Springs, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and granddaughters Christopher Huff, Michael Jenkins, Jonathan Gower, Cody White, Amber Smith and Brittany Jenkins.

Honorary pallbearers will be Stacy Perrin, Shannon White, Amy Gower, Andrea Smith and Brook Smith.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Youth in Vidalia.
