NATCHEZ — Services for Samuel P. Tiffee, 89, of Natchez, who died Friday, July 23, 2010, at his residence, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Assumption Catholic Church with the Rev. Leopold Keffler officiating.

Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. until time of services Monday at the church.

Mr. Tiffee was born Sept. 5, 1920, in Harrisonburg, La., the son of Charles Pritchard Tiffee and Ruth Tyson Tiffee. He was retired as owner and operator of a service station. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of Assumption Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Lynda Joe Tiffee, and two sisters, Marie Tiffee Varner and Mattie Tiffee Fore.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice Mascagni Tiffee; one daughter, Diane T. Stringer and husband, Jim, of Flowery Branch, Ga.; three grandchildren, Samantha Stringer of Flowery Branch, Stacie Zaleski and husband, Kenny, of Dacula, Ga., and Dee Anna Bowbliss and husband, Mike, of Buford, Ga.; five great-grandchildren, Henry and Catherine Zaleski, Anna, Lindsey and Michael Bowbliss; two sisters, Ruth Tiffee Jordan and Melanie White and husband, Harold, all of Natchez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Charles Mascagni Jr., Modie Mascagni, Demp White, Boyd White, Kenny Zaleski, Mike Bowbliss, Kenneth Mascagni and Ronnie Tyson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Stringer, Harold White, Tommy Fore, Buck Pintard, Kin Britt and Freddie Tyson.

Memorials may be made to Cathedral School.
