NATCHEZ — Services for Willie B. Arbuthnot Williams, 84, of Natchez, who died Friday, July 23, 2010, at Rapides Regional Medical Center, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. John O’Hallaran officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at Webb Funeral Home.
Mrs. Williams was born Nov. 20, 1925, in Wilkinson County, the daughter of Robert and Celeste Arbuthnot. She was educated at Brumfield High School and was a retired dental assistant. She was affiliated with the Knights of St. Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary Father Morresey Court No. 9, a member of the National Council of Negro Women, Adams County and Mississippi Homemaker Volunteers and the Catherine Williams Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Vernon L. Williams, and three brothers, Arthur Arbuthnot, William Arbuthnot and Robert Arbuthnot.
Survivors include one daughter, Elaine Williams Butcher and husband, Fred; two granddaughters, Lisa Butcher Sheppard and husband, Reginald, and Brandy Celeste Butcher; one great-grandson, Sloane Colin Sheppard; one brother, the Rev. James Hardy and wife, Louise, and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
