FERRIDAY – Services for Aron “Uncle Marney” Williams, 99, of Ferriday, who died Monday, July 19, 2010, at his son and daughter-in-law’s home in Lorman, were 11 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010, at Rufus Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Reed officiating.

Burial follwed at Pine Hill Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Mr. Williams was born Aug. 17, 1910, in Natchez, the son of Robert and Katie Davis Williams.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his wife, Jamie Johnson Williams; one daughter, Estelle Williams; three brothers, Eugene Williams, Sam Williams and Johnnie Williams; and three sisters, Melissa Price, Alice Smith and Edna Brown.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, James and Connie O’Neil of Lorman; four sisters, Louisa Avery of Missouri City, Texas, Elizabeth Davis and Janet Williams, both of Ferriday and Rosa Redd of Greenville, S.C.; 17 grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
