NATCHEZ — Services for Jimmie Barnes, 78, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Natchez, who died Thursday, July 22, 2010, in Houston, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Green Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Barnes was born Dec. 17, 1931, in Natchez, the son of Joseph Barnes and Beatrice Curtis Barnes.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Joseph Barnes Jr., Albert Barnes and C. Washington.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Brenda Barnes; two daughters, Patricia Issac of Natchez and Beatrice Barnes of Marshall, Texas; one son, Willie Clarence Williams of Houston; four grandchildren, Juan Issac, Corey Issac, Brandon Williams and Malik Jones; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Hattie B. McCoy of Jackson; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
