ROXIE — Services for Glenda “Swilla” Norman, 62, of Roxie, who died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Meadville, will be at 1 p.m. today at Roxie First Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Ms. Norman was born May 12, 1948, in Franklin County, the daughter of Bailey and Maryella Norman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Steven Dunbar; and one grandson, Branson Patterson.

Survivors include two daughters, China Norman and Aisha Norman, both of Roxie; one son, Keyon Lewis of Dallas; three grandsons, Anfernee Wright, Jaiden Norman-Proby and Kayus Lewis; stepmother, Valerie Norman of Roxie; four sisters, Mamie Allen of Roxie, Valencia Hill and husband, Neil, of Maplewood, N.J., Vanessa Buckles and husband, Greg, of Clinton and Vernadette Chavez and husband, Darin, of Albuquerque, N.M.; two brothers, Aubrey Bernell and wife, Shirley, and Bradley Norman and wife, Marie, all of Natchez; two aunts, Julie Mae Griffin of Natchez and Mildred Jackson of Los Angeles; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
