NATCHEZ — Services for Mildred Smith, 63, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Aug., 8, 2010, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Greater New Zion Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Free Spring Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Sunday at the church.
Mrs. Smith was born Nov. 27, 1946, in Crosby, the daughter of Elbert and Essie Shropshire Smith.
She was preceded in death by one son, Clyde Smith; three brothers, Doug Smith, Albert Smith and Alfred Smith; and two sisters, Irene Turner and Ethel Mae Coach.
Survivors include five godchildren, Roshell Gibson and husband, Ray, Kathy Coach, Henrietta Coach, Yana Hunt and Alfred Coach and wife, Cynthia; fiancé, Willie Thomas Sr.; one sister, Alice Smith; two brothers, Edward Smith and wife, Johnnie Mae, and C.J. Smith; one uncle, George Brooks and wife, Rosalie, one aunt, Edna Sullivan; special friend, Susan Hunt; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
