WCCA welcomes five teachers

WOODVILLE — The halls were filled with excitement on the first day of school at Wilkinson County Christian School as eager students met with their teachers for the first time.

WCCA welcomes five new teachers for the 2010-2011 school year.

They are Madeleine McNeely, math and physical science; Katie McCurley, calculus; Billy Caston, history, athletic director, varsity football and varsity boys basketball; Raymond McDaniel, high school principal/administration, softball, girls basketball and baseball; and Tammy Longmire, third grade

The Lady Rams Softball team started the season off well with a win over Central Private on Aug. 10.

A limited number of 2010 WCCA yearbooks are still available for purchase.

“Meet the Rams” will be at 7 p.m. Aug. 19, in the WCCA gym to introduce te athletes and auxiliary teams for the 2010-2011 school year.

Aug. 19 — Senior parent information meeting at 6 p.m.

Aug. 19 — “Meet the Rams”at 7 p.m.

Aug. 20 — Varsity Rams football at 8 p.m. at home against CHEF.

Aug. 21 — Lady Rams Softball at the Silliman Tournament.

Aug. 23 — Lady Rams Softball at 5:30 p.m. at home against Central Private.

Aug. 26 — Lady Rams Softball at 6 and 7:15 p.m. at Oak Forest.

Aug. 27 — Varsity Rams Football at 7 p.m. at home against Bens Ford

Aug. 27 — School day pictures will be taken.

Aug. 27 — Fall sports pictures will be taken.

Aug. 31 — Junior Varsity Rams football at 7 p.m. at Home against CHEF.
