NATCHEZ — Services for Wilbert Lee Evans, 67, of Natchez, who died Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, at Promise Nursing Facility in Vicksburg, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Windy Hill No. 1 Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Mr. Evans was born Nov. 13, 1942, the son of Orrick Metcalfe Sr. and Esther Smith Evans. He was employed as a carpenter. He was also a member of Windy Hill No. 1 Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include one daughter, Joycelyn Lemon of Terry; three sons, Wilbert and Edward Lemon, both of Natchez, and Roderick Evans and wife, Katrina, of New Orleans; 10 grandchildren; three sisters, Maggie Evans and Carrie Evans, both of Natchez, and Mary Flournoy of Chicago; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
